WordPress Hosting: Top Picks

Hostinger - "Cheapest WordPress Hosting"

It’s a little unfair to describe Hostinger as “cheap” but we mean it as a compliment.  Hostinger’s WordPress hosting plans are as good for high-traffic sites as they are for beginners.  But for someone just starting to build their site, Hostinger offers an extremely affordable managed WordPress plan that costs as low as $1.59/month (depending on which plan you get – we recommend the “Starter” plan).

Hostinger’s back-end servers run on LiteSpeed which makes WordPress sites extremely fast and optimized for SEO.   It also comes with LS Cache Plugin to help you cache different elements of your page to make it even faster.

Hostinger’s customer support is good but it lacks the option of telephone support. However, their support specialists are responsive and very knowledgeable about WordPress.  Right now Hostinger has up to 80% off (depending on the plan you choose).  Click the button below to be taken directly to their site and apply the deal.

Alpha Hosting - "Best WordPress For E-Commerce"

Alpha Hosting is an e-commerce focused platform that is built around providing the best tools for those small businesses and individuals operating online stores.

Alpha Hosting has a platform that specializes in e-Commerce for WordPress (WooCommerce, Magento, etc.).  However,  their starter plan is $25/month which more on par with WP Engine and geared more for a small business. Remember: their starter plans come with a dedicated IP. A dedicated IP means you don’t have to worry about being lumped together with other sites that could be bad actors.

Right now, you can get 25% off the first 6 months with the promo code “SWITCH25”.

Even though Alpha Hosting is built well for e-commerce stores, it also takes the prize for the fastest WordPress hosting service.

WPEngine - "Best WordPress For Small Businesses"

It’s hard to argue with WP Engine and the platform that they have built specifically for hosting WordPress sites.  The amount of tools they have built for WordPress site owners and developers is truly mind-boggling.  Their servers are geared for running WordPress sites and this shows in the speed they deliver as they generally see a 38% increase in site speed on their platform

Despite the enterprise-level hosting service they provide, they still manage to make things really easy for someone who does not have a lot of experience managing a website.  The perfect example of that is the 36 ready-to-go templates they have available that a novice could publish an outstanding looking website in under an hour.

WP Engine has spectacular customer support and all of their staff is extremely well-versed in WordPress (as you would expect).

We could go on and on about WP Engine and their platform but we actually do not recommend it for everyone because it’s a bit expensive (in our opinion).  For a small business, paying $25/month may not be a huge expense but for a single person with a blog or small site, this cost adds up quickly.

Right Now WP Engine is offering 3 months free with annual plans.  That deal is automatically applied if you click the button below which takes you to WP Engine’s site.

Siteground - "Best All-Around For WordPress"

For the best balance of cost, performance and customer support, we recommend SiteGround for WordPress managed sites.  SiteGround’s servers are optimized for WordPress and all plans come with a free Cloudfare CDN.  If you’re not familiar with CDN’s, they house your site closer to the location of your visitors which speeds up the loading time in your visitors’ browser.

All plans also come with the SG optimizer plugin so you can change caching settings and tweak different aspects of your WordPress site to make it extremely fast.

If you have not worked with SiteGround before, their customer support is extremely responsive and goes “above and beyond” on many requests.  We would not put their customer service on quite the same level as WP Engine but SiteGround’s WordPress hosting plans are must less expensive.

The “Startup” plan is $6.99/month and it’s recommend for beginner sites.  If you know you will be using WordPress for your site, it’s probably a good idea to pick their WordPress hosting plan to improve load times and help your SEO rankings.    Click the button below to check out their current deals.
